RUPUNZELS BRAID
Ommmmmmmm, the sublime, mysterious and whimsical Sweetgrass braid.
Many are attracted by the sight as much as by the scent of “wacanga” otherwise known as the sweetgrass braid. Used for spiritual practices, daily prayers, and often for indigenous rituals and ceremonial smudging, sweetgrass is said to please ALL the spirits and to help cleanse ones own aura when within its delicious and heady presence. A trade item on the Northern Plains for millennia, this “sacred grass” is known for its delicious vanilla scent.
Our Rupunzel’s Braid is said to dispel negative energy, elicit emotional strength and engage our minds and senses. Sweetgrass is also a unique decorative item to display - albeit a fascinating conversation starter! When your eyes come to glance upon the beautiful threaded braid it serves as a ceremonial display - a reminder to take the deepest of breaths, enabling you to let go of anything that no longer serves YOU.
Bound in muted bakers string with seasonal flowers attached, and boxed with the prettiest of loose petals, this is my new take on the old “bouquet”. Please note every braid will come with its own individuality and beauty, not necessarily identical as I have photographed here.
